Cloud Accounts

In order to optimize the utilization of your cloud resources, you will need to connect Save On Clouds to the account you hold with your cloud provider, such as AWS, GCP or Azure.

These connections are called “Cloud Accounts”. A cloud account is essentially a set of credentials that you provide to Save On Clouds so that the system can connect to and manage your resources.

Save On Clouds uses the minimum access rights it needs, so you will not need to worry about the security of your cloud account. We only obtain a temporary and short-lived token to access your cloud provider.

At the moment Save On Clouds can connect to the below cloud providers:

  • Amazon Web Services
  • Microsoft Azure
  • Google Cloud Platform

To begin connecting to your cloud provider, simply click on the relevant button at the top of the page.

Clicking on any of these buttons will open a dialog box that lets you enter your credentials.

You will find a help button on the top right corner of the window. It is highly advised that you click on this button and read the documentation before you proceed. This is important because, especially for MS Azure and Google Cloud Platform, if you do not configure your permissions correctly, Save On Clouds will not be able to fetch your cloud resources.

The ? button provides plenty of information about connecting to your cloud provider.
